Joe Collins

Joe Collins was a steady, versatile first baseman and outfielder who spent his entire 10-year career with the New York Yankees during the height of their postwar dynasty. Though often in the shadow of bigger names, Collins played in seven World Series and won five. He was known for his discipline at the plate and his selfless approach, willing to platoon, change positions, or do whatever the team needed to win.
